This study aims to investigate, using the bibliographic research method and doctrinal and jurisprudential analysis, how the Informed Consent Form can be considered an expression of the right to information guaranteed to consumers in the legal relationship between doctor and patient. To this end, it will initially demonstrate the relevance of the right to information within the scope of the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code, and then characterize the doctor-patient relationship as one subject to the norms of the Consumer Protection Code, correlating the guarantee of information enshrined by the law with the need for patients to be informed about their treatments or procedures. Finally, the proposed hypothesis concerning the Informed Consent Form will be analyzed.
